request for grsecurity for 2.6.22

Postby bknuth » Tue Dec 11, 2007 11:14 pm

Hi all,

I was wondering whether someone might have the grsec kernel patch for 2.6.22 handy, and prepared to share with another grsecurity user. My problem is this: I need to setup a couple of servers with OpenVZ (don't ask why I need to use OpenVZ :|), and I would feel a lot more confident if I had grsecurity also installed+PaX ofcourse. OpenVZ is only available for 2.6.22, and they apparently won't make a port for 2.6.23.

So please, if anyone has the patch, I would appreciate if you could email it to me at bgran@tiq.fi, or use some other form of transfer.

Thanks.

Kind regards,
Bo Granlund

even with the patch (which i wouldn't recommend anyway as we've fixed important bugs since, see the vma mirroring related threads here) i doubt you could simply patch in grsecurity and expect the mix to work properly because of the nature of the two patches. i'm afraid you'll have to wait till all the namespace work that OpenVZ and other folks are doing gets merged in the vanilla kernel and we work out any interference (just ask spender about some recent breakage in /proc et al. ;-).
