Anyone tried to compile grsec in centos5?

I can compile it from source but not with grsec.

Here is the error:

smp_apic_timer_interrupt
kernel panic - not syncing


Any help is very much appreciated.

Am using grsecurity-2.1.10-2.6.21.5-200706182032.patch.
