ntop problem

Postby smith » Thu Oct 10, 2002 7:59 am

hello,
i'm using ntop and grsecurity with kernel 2.4.19.

i dont use any acl rules atm but ntop gets killed after a few mins.
kernel: grsec: signal 11 sent to (ntop:29978) UID(106) EUID(106), parent (ntop:5855) UID(106) EUID(106)
Oct 10 13:53:18 ctg-fw kernel: grsec: signal 11 sent to (ntop:6112) UID(106) EUID(106), parent (ntop:5855) UID(106) EUID(106) by (ntop:5855) UID(106) EUID(106), parent (ntop:244) UID(106) EUID(106)

does anyone know how to fix this? :)

that's not a grsecurity problem. ntop is just horribly unstable. I've never been able to get it to run for more than a couple of minutes every time I've tried to use it for over the past year, with grsecurity or without.
