GRSEC X nmap Difficulty

Postby diego_almeida » Wed Dec 14, 2005 4:52 pm

Please, i read about grsec can up nmap difficulty level to 999999, but after patch kernel and boot with grsec kernel, the level doesnt change...i found about ISN, RPC randomization and others networks protections can up this level, but at last version not have this options....can i up this difficulty number only with grsec path, have ohters paths for randomize this ? I know about this level is nothing significant, but for user newbie it is very intersting.

Thanks and sorry,my english is very bad.

You need "truly" random ISN to have a nmap difficulty of 999999. However, grsec doesn't "truly" randomize ISN anymore.
