unsafe terminal

While running GRADM in learning mode, I sometimes get the following message when trying to log on to the admin role or to disable the system:

The terminal you are using is unsafe for this operation. Use another terminal.


I like my terminal. And I'm pretty sure it's safe. Does anybody know how to disable this??

Applying that patch should fix the problem. Let me know if it does not.

I recieved this message today on the gentoo hardened distro
has this fix been applied generally to the current release?

Your issue is different. Try running an lsof to see who has your terminal open. In the past (for the non-malicious cases), it's been init scripts not closing file descriptors properly that caused such errors.
