Random crashes with 3.2.60 patch

Postby kevinff » Mon Jun 16, 2014 3:52 pm

Hi,

Since one of the updates about 2 or 3 weeks ago, i'm getting random crashes.

I think it started with the .59 patch, i was getting an average of 1 crash per day. I've put an older version (.58) and i got no crash for 3 days (until now).

Here is the screen i could get from the last crash:

Most of the times i was not working on the server and it really crashed at random times.. Not sure if the screenshot is helpful.

Nevermind it crashed too with the .58.

It looks very similar to this one:

I couldn't get more info, also it's a production server..

I couldn't get kdump to work with grsec (i guess it's not possible), but if you have any quick way to get more data i'd be happy to do it.

can you set up a serial console (Intel's AMT supports SOL for example) or netconsole perhaps? also perhaps disable the grsec bruteforce prevention mechanism, you may get proper logs on the failing host then.
