PAX_XATTR_PAX_FLAGS and ext4

Postby x14sg1 » Sat Jan 04, 2014 11:25 pm

Hello,

The recent 3.12.6 patches contain this

+config PAX_XATTR_PAX_FLAGS
+ bool 'Use filesystem extended attributes marking'
+ default y if GRKERNSEC_CONFIG_AUTO
+ select CIFS_XATTR if CIFS
+ select EXT2_FS_XATTR if EXT2_FS
+ select EXT3_FS_XATTR if EXT3_FS
+ select EXT4_FS_XATTR if EXT4_FS
+ select JFFS2_FS_XATTR if JFFS2_FS

but CONFIG_EXT4_FS_XATTR option doesn't exist anymore

According to

https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kerne ... 4_FS_XATTR

the CONFIG_EXT4_FS_XATTR option was removed

I got curious and checked the other CONFIG_* options in the latest grsecurity patch and it is possible these are gone also:

CONFIG_BTRFS_FS_MODULE
CONFIG_UNIX_MODULE

I didn't find anything saying they were removed but I can't find them in the 3.12.6 kernel source either.
