setpci failing with latest patch

Postby tjh » Thu Jan 02, 2014 2:42 pm

Hi,

I've just gone from a 3.12.5 to a 3.12.6 kernel, both patched using grsec.

I notice now that I can't use the setpci command.

Code: Select all
root@micro:/home/tim# setpci -s 00:02.1 f4.b=00
pcilib: sysfs_write: write failed: Operation not permitted

I use that command to turn off the screen on my eeepc.

Is there anyway to resolve this?
