Remove The Suffix

I've just compiled a grsecurity patched vanilla kernel and after booting up i noticed that there is a '-grsec' suffix to the kernel's name .
Is it possible to remove the '-grsec' suffix from the kernel name ?

remove the file localversion-grsec from your kernel sources.
