grsecurity-2.2.2-3.0.4-201109150655.patch error

Hello,

I get the grsecurity/grsec_hidesym.o error below which is ignored and the kernel builds successfully
although I have not yet tried to boot it.

I was wondering what the error means and if it affects anything?

It's most likely from not having a /lib64/modules directory, as only some distributions have it. It's fine to ignore the error, which is why I force the makefile itself to ignore the error.
