Boot failure: grsec/RLIMIT_NOFILE

Postby vaplu » Sun Jul 11, 2004 1:48 pm

My Debian 2.4.20-grsec server hangs on booting on:

grsec: attempted resource overstep by requesting 1024 for RLIMIT_NOFILE against limit 1024 by (relay-ctrl-chdi:22118) UID(0) EUID(0), parent (supervise:2930) UID(0) EUID(0)

Where to look for, because I can't reach the filesystem since it is an software RAID (mirror) and with LVM

Got some suggestions?

afaik this message is a warning, and does not kill anything. What are the last lines init or the kernel tell before boot stalls?

Your right, problem is fixed.

All output was on ttyS0 and not on ttyx .... so this was the last message I saw on the monitor-screen...
