attempted resource overstep

Hello,
I am receiving this error messing in my kernel log on most of my system critical applications such as named, httpd, cfusion, java, etc.
grsec: attempted resource overstep by requesting 1201 for RLIMIT_CPU against limit 1200 by (named:30203) UID(53) EUID(53), parent (init:1) UID(0) EUID(0)
I am running an older version of Slackware 8.0, which was long before I heard about PaX. What adjustments should I be making to prevent my system critical apps from being killed by grsec ?
My kernel version is 2.4.25-(1.9.14 grsec),
Thanks for any input, I don't really know where else to ask.
