User socket restrictions hang

I'm using grsecurity-2.0-rc2-2.4.21.patch on a vanilla smp kernel.
When ever i add a user to the socket_deny group and the user executes a program which attempts to use a socket - the program hangs and uses 100% cpu - i cant kill the program no matter what signals i send. Only way is to reboot.
Is this a known bug or just me?
