RE: Hardened Gentoo-(4.3.3-r4), hangs on emerge --sync

Hello All:

I have successfully installed hardened Gentoo-(4.3.3-r4) on an X86 machine.
The machine boots and I can log in. However as soon as I issue an emerge command
like emerge --sync or a dmesg the machine freezes and a hard reset is needed to reboot
the machine.

I have done this twice. What am I missing? Any suggestions?

can you post your kernel config and dmesg? also try 4.4 instead, we already moved off of 4.3

Hello :

I rebuilt the machine with the hardened 4.4.2 kernel-(Linux i686 4.4.2-hardened). However emerge --sync causes the machine to freeze. The good news is that dmesg now works.

I have both the config file and the dmesg output. How do I send these to you?
