wvdial segmentation - & can't load nvidia driver - permissio

i don't know what exactly I did wrong but when trying to use a grsecurity kernel, even trying a custom with a lot off, I don't know what's causing it, however it won't load the nvidia driver permission denied even on the startx command.

on Wvdial - i get segmentation errors, and it quits, also I prelink.

What should be disabled to ensure these items will work fine?

I've went back to my ol' non-grsecurity kernel at least for now.

i was going to delete then i remember maybe someone will habe problems with wvdial

my distro is Gutsygibbon Ubuntu - i compile my own vanilla kernels. from there i stayed up last night :D so my brain wasn't thinking in the right order. all is well now, i searched the forums after posting. I know how upset a mode/site owner/mod/community can get when one doesn't search first. :P

anyway - i just disabled the mprotect part of which worked.

the Pax patch didn't really patch everything in kernel 2.6.24.7 - i think it patched like one or two files and then asked for a file it couldn't find so i ctrl+c. Other than that all is well. However I didn't quite get why the pax mprotect made wvdial segfault it said grsecurity:segmentation or whatever.

It should of dialed - yes in the GUI I use kppp, but I was trying to connect VIA CLI to search the internet on my last problem to find the answer.

Overview of grsecurity - it made my system quite faster :D and I chose custom of which when I read help on some items convinced me not to enable tham - like 1 or two.

Oh ur patch said something about hash.c or something when make menuconfig on this kernel, again other than that all is working fine on 2.6.24.7.
