Soft mode

Looks like soft mode doesn't work in 2.6.23-grsec.

it works here, so you'll have to provide a somewhat more verbose problem description beyond "doesn't work".

For example kde-config and kstartupconfig don't work. I have set pax_softmode=1. I don't have such problems with 2.6.22.9-grsec.

so when they don't work, what exactly happens? does PaX kill them? have you got logs? can you post the paxctl -v output of these?
