kernel panic 2.6.22.6

Got Kernel Panic at Kernel 2.6.22.6 Debian 4.0 Etch

Code: Bad EIP value.
EIP: [<0000b608>] 0xb608 SS:ESP 0068:c123df2a
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

im using the patch http://www.grsecurity.net/~spender/grse ... 1800.patch

downloaded the kernel binaries at kernel.org 2.6.22.6
compiling it
reboot
and see: kernel 2.6.22.6 works fine on my system

downloaded the kernel binaries at kernel.org 2.6.22.6
downloaded the grsecurity patch http://www.grsecurity.net/~spender/grse ... 1800.patch
configuration related to the quick guide
compile it
reboot
and the kernel panic is there...

so this problem has to deal with grsecurity, any fixes available ?
