Hello.

I tried to install grsecurity patch to 2 of my linux servers, but with both i got this error: unable to mount root filesystem, /dev/hda1 is not blabla, please append the correct "/root" filesystem. :-? I followed the quick startup guide. What could i do?

And please, could someone with a working grsecurity kernel post hist menu.lst grub loader? So i could compare it with my. I tried every possible option :
Code: Select all
title           Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.14.6-grsec
root            (hd0,0)
kernel          /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.14.6-grsec root=/dev/hda ro
savedefault
boot

initrd          /boot/initrd.img-2.6.14.6-grsec

boot

Ok, i managed to compile and boot, but i get this message:

Code: Select all
masterpiece:~# /etc/init.d/apache2 start
Starting apache 2.0 web server.../usr/sbin/apache2: error while loading shared libraries: libgcrypt.so.11: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Permission denied
 failed!

I think i set all the security options possible in grsec. I am using 2.6.14.6-grsec kernel without gradm. What could i do? I know i will have to set some persmissions, but i dont have a clue where to start.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
