can you guys try the latest PaX test patches please?

Just tried pax-linux-2.6.33-test8.patch, same problem.

Although, I tried booting with that patch 5 times, and once rather than rebooting the box it just hung during boot, and I could hear the cpu fan speeding up so it must have been under load.

"grsecurity-2.1.14-2.6.33.1-201003201735.patch" wasn't up when I tested, I can try that in a bit, but I don't have another machine handy atm so I won't be able use netconsole to collect the oops until sometime tomorrow...

Okay, pax-linux-2.6.32.9-test21.patch is the last patch which seems to work, all the later 2.6.32.9 patches have the same issue.

pax-linux-2.6.33-test7.patch has the issue too, but with the earlier 2.6.33 patches the kernel either fails to build, or hangs very early during boot, though odds are you already know of those issues.

we identified the problem (amd's amd64 capable CPUs don't support ljmpq, whereas intel's do, doh), please try the new patches.

I'm running with the 2.6.33.1 201003211638 patch now, it appears stable.
