why do i need to waste my time trying the patch for you if you can do it yourself.

? If you really have so little time that you cannot "waste" a bit checking whether the patch applies cleanly, perhaps you should just sit quietly until Spender announces that a patch is available (which he has since done, btw).


Perhaps we need a forum policy that such vague questions are ignored. I can see answering a question about whether the kernel is stable with a particular patch, but people ought to at least check whether the patch applies cleanly (and state their results!) when asking.
