Problems with "gradm -D"

Postby sekko » Sat Aug 12, 2006 11:31 am

Hi guys!
I have a problem while trying to disable GrSecurity (gradm -D) when I login on the server from a remote machine via ssh. It only happens when I run "gradm -E" by INIT (during the boot startup). It works fine if I enable grsec from the same remote host; in that case I can also perform "gradm -D".
For istance, I do not have any error or "deny" into the logs. It just says "wrong password" all of the times.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance,
Claudio

If there are no messages in the logs, it implies that you're not able to talk to the /dev/grsec device. This means you probably haven't set up your policy properly. If you can mail it to spender@grsecurity.net, I can tell you what the problem with it is.
