Server Crash: PAX: size overflow detected in function atomic

Postby JSAforat » Sun Jan 12, 2014 5:23 am

Hello,

I recently suffered from a Server Crash and it turned out it is related to GRSecurity, i found this the moment the crash happened in the syslog:
Code: Select all
PAX: size overflow detected in function atomic_add_return /var/home/fx/src/ovh-kernel/ovhkernel-xxxx-grs-ipv6-32/linux-3.10.23/arch/x86/include/asm/atomic.h:337 cicus.114_12 max, count: 3

Is there way this can be fixed?
Thanks

Hi, this bug was already fixed in the 3.12.x series.

Hello,

How can i update to any of the v3.12.X? Also will that mean that i have to format the server? (hence lose all the data)

Thanks!

it seems that you're using OVH's services and their kernel so you'll have to talk to them about this problem.
