Hard Lockup with 2.6.32.28

Postby sfaerber » Mon Jan 31, 2011 10:18 am

Hi,

i recently upgraded a bunch of servers from 2.6.32.9 to 2.6.32.28 (grsecurity 2.2.1-2.6.32.28-201101120010)
and experienced a couple of "hard lockups".
I already posted this to lkml, but i appears that grsecurity is the reason (spin_lock spinning forever in d_real_path)?

See http://marc.info/?l=linux-kernel&m=129647198207816&w=2 for the short Thread on lkml.

Would be great if someone can have a look - I can provide additional details if neccessary.

Regards,

Sebastian

I thought I had already fixed this ;) See the changelog for the patch released the day after the one you're using:
http://grsecurity.net/changelog-stable.txt

If you still have any problems though, let me know.
