Grsecurity Package Debian.

Postby bryn1u » Mon Sep 13, 2010 6:47 am

Hi everyone.

My OS it Debian Lenny.

I installed grsecurity using this site http://kernelsec.cr0.org/ and i have a few questions related with this.

1) Where can i find any doc/manuals which tell me what kind of options are loaded in grsec (i mean low/med/high or coustom) ?
2) Is it good way to using package grsec ? or better use grsec source and compile ?
3) Does package grsec is keep update version of grsec?

Thanks for answers.

Greetz.

The packages from kernelsec.cr0.org seem to be compiled with compatibility in mind. Some very important options (like UDEREF and/or KERNEXEC - I don't remember the exact list) are disabled. I would suggest you to gain source packages and compile a kernel with all the important stuff enabled by yourself.
