Any grsec patch available for the new kernel? (note that this kernel fixes security issues found in 2.4.30).

Try appying the newest 2.4 patch anyway. If it doesn't work, find out what was rejected and modify the patch accordingly ;) More than likely it'll only be the Makefile.

there are several hunks that fail...
is spengler still alive? i see no activity in cvs since may 19th, and 2.4.31 has been out for a while...
i hope 2.4.30-grsec is more secure than 2.4.31-vanilla...

spender,

I noticed that you have a 2.6.11.11 patch there too, I applied the 2.6.11.9 patch my .11 kernel. Is this ok ?

I noticed the .31 pre-release patch:
http://www.grsecurity.net/~spender/grse ... 1437.patch

One question only: is there any procedure you follow when you (are going to) release a new patch? I noticed you use to place it 1st at ~spender, but:
- how long does it usually stay in pre-release mode?
- who performs the beta-testing during that phase?

Or in other words, how do you control quality of patch?

Best regards,
-rs
